Shed Ache

A seriously silly dance theatre show that transports little people and their grown ups to a world that sits somewhere between reality and make believe.

Two friends (three if you count the shed) get up to all sorts whilst faced with downpours, lava floors and socks falling out of the sky.

shed-ache is about the give and take of friendship, the power of imagination and the importance to embrace experiences whatever the weather.

Be prepared to be blown away by aKa's brand new family-friendly show which is bright and sunny. With 100% chance of laughter.

aKa Dance Theatre Company was co-founded by dance mad Jen Grant and Joe Garbett in early 2014. Based in Taunton as company in residence at Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre. aKa are excited to be a small-scale company that creates works that are adaptable for a variety of performance surroundings, indoors and out. They are fiercely interested and invested in ensuring that the arts are accessible and enjoyable to all and love nothing more than bringing communities together.Since starting in 2014, they've been having a cracking time creating bright and playful dance theatre works that are loaded with colour and craziness, taking them out and about to visit a variety of audiences in a variety of places and spaces.

They have had an absolute blast visiting an eclectic mix of venues across the UK - Glastonbury Festival, The Place, Rich Mix, The Book Club, Thimblemill Library, Grittleton Village Hall to name a few, receiving audience feedback such as "wow, wow, wow" Casson & Friends and "Infinitely interesting" Anna Rachael McBridge.

This show is primarily for Primary School Children from Reception to Yr 6.
